Species Needs

Freshwater aquariums are usually grouped by the terms tropical, cold water and brackish. Tropical freshwater tanks should be kept at around 75⁰ to 80⁰F.

Cold freshwater tanks should be kept below 75⁰F. Some species like to be kept below 70⁰F.

Brackish tanks should be kept at 76⁰ to 82⁰F.

Saltwater tanks vary depending on the geographic region the inhabitants are from. It is much simpler to identify region temperatures and keep water in that specific range. This is generally between the upper 70’s to the lower 80’s.
